Many wrestling fans would agree with calling Kenny Omega as one of the best wrestlers in the world. The Cleaner is someone who caught the attention of wrestling fanatics during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Recently he responded to a challenge laid out by Ethan Page.
Ethan Page once got the opportunity to challenge MJF for the AEW World Title. After losing the match in his home town he moved on to compete in Ring of Honor. Page had been capturing wins. Now, it looks like he wants to return to AEW television.
Page appeared on this week’s episode of AEW Collision and laid out a challenge to Kenny Omega.
“Yeah, ever since losing to MJF in the world title match in my home nation of Canada, I have had to regroup, re-focus my energy, my efforts, I’ve gotten to the best physical shape of my entire life. I’ve been in Ring of Honor racking up win after win. I’m on a bit of a roll. So, here I am to make a challenge and check off a Bucket List thing. I want to be one of the biggest names in Canada. And we are headed back there next week. If I want to be the King of Canada, Ethan Page is gonna need his crown. But right now that crown is sitting on somebody else’s head. So, in Montreal, one on one, we are going to find out, who the best Canadian wrestler is. Because I want you, Kenny Omega,” Ethan Page said.
After listening to the promo, The Cleaner took to Twitter to accept the challenge.
“A singles match?! What the? Uh, okay, sure. See you there,” Kenny Omega tweeted.
