Adam Cole still has a ways to go.
The November 22 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Adam Cole and AEW World Champion MJF appear in the ring together following MJF’s successful Full Gear defense against Jay White. During the segment, Cole noted that he’s “not even close” to being able to walk again, let alone compete in the ring.
Cole has been out of action since the end of September when he broke his ankle during a run-in spot. In October, he revealed that he would have to have two surgeries with a total of eight screws and one plate applied to his ankle. Since then, he’s continued to appear on AEW programming via satellite until he made a surprise appearance on crutches at Full Gear.
Cole and MJF remain ROH World Tag Team Champions, but there’s been no word yet on their status as champions. MJF has defended the tag team titles twice since Cole’s injury — once by himself and once with Samoa Joe.
WrestleZone will provide the latest as more information becomes available.
