AEW Rampage Results (11/17/23): Christian Cage vs. Trent Beretta

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the November 10 episode of AEW Rampage.

Tonight, Toni Storm will face Emi Sakura on Friday’s show. Storm will challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Full Gear on November 18.

Plus, Renee Paquette will separately interview AEW World Champion MJF and Jay White. MJF will defend the title against White at AEW Full Gear.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Christian Cage defeats Trent Beretta via pinfall

In the opening match of the night, Cage retained his TNT Championship in a stellar win. Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus accompanied the superstar out, and despite Beretta gaining the momentum early, things would eventually begin to turn in Cage’s favor.

Later in the match, after Cage had kicked out of a handful of different quick pin attempts by Beretta, Luchasaurus and Wayne eventually began distracting Beretta. One of their disractions was good enough to let Cage begin attacking Beretta’s neck, and after a stomp to the back of the head and a Kill Switch, he had won.

Match 2: Toni Storm defeats Emi Sakura via pinfall

In a relatively quick match, Storm spent most of the match on the losing end. After handing Sakura a script, Storm was quickly taken to the ground by a few slams from Emi.

However, Toni would eventually flip the script so to speak, and evade a big splash off the top from Sakura. The cameras suddenly went black and white, and then Storm hit a piledriver to win.

Backstage segment: Jay Lethal & Eddie Kingston

In an interview with Renee Paquette, Lethal and Kingston spoke briefly. Lethal mentioned that he has a ROH World Championship match for Full Gear’s Zero Hour show. Kingston called Lethal a coward for hanging out with Jeff Jarrett, and the two had to be separated, but not before Kingston ran into Ortiz, and the two gave each other a slight nod.

Match 3: Roderick Strong defeats Action Andretti via pinfall

In the final match of the night, Strong attacked Andretti before things could even start, but didn’t manage to get much out of it as Andretti was able to flip the momentum. Later in the match, The Kingdom got involved to help Strong regain some steam, and things broke down from there.

In the end, Andretti hit a Spanish Fly that forced a medical member to come in and check on Strong, but despite that, the match continued and Strong ended things by hitting the End of Heartache for the pin and win.

Backstage segment: Jay White

In a backstage segment after the Strong and Andretti match, Renee Paquette interviewed Jay White. White began explaining what will happen when he gets his hands on the AEW World Championship, but before he could do much more, MJF appeared and ambushed White. The two quickly began brawling, which led to Juice Robinson showing up.

The cameras quickly cut away, and when they went back, Robinson was bloodied on the monitor. The brawl continued, with The Gunns showing up before MJF cleared them out. Eventually, Austin and Colten ripped the belt from MJF’s hands, and then held up MJF so that Switchblade could hit him with it.

In a stunning turn of events, out came Samoa Joe, who ran down to the ring and cleared away everyone. Joe eventually cornered MJF, and with everyone watching and begging Joe not to, Samoa Joe shook MJF’s hand, giving him a partner for Zero Hour.
