Kota Ibushi Officially Signs With All Elite Wrestling

Kota Ibushi is All Elite.

Tony Khan announced that Kota Ibushi signed with All Elite Wrestling. He shared the news following the November 15 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, Ibushi, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Paul Wight defeated The Don Callis Family in the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight.

Ibushi made his AEW debut in the Blood and Guts match on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite. He then competed at AEW All In, where he teamed up with Omega and Hangman Page to face Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Konosuke Takeshita. Ibushi also wrestled at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.

Previously, Ibushi announced that he had signed with AEW in July. It is unofficial whether he has agreed to a new deal of some sort with the company, but this is the first time that AEW has announced the news.

Ibushi is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. He was one of NJPW’s top stars before he went down with a shoulder injury in October 2021. He left NJPW after his contract expired on February 1, 2023.
