Recently, a legendary wrestling family has been trending worldwide. It is none other than the Von Erich family. Recently, AEW star Don Callis shared his appreciation for the Von Erichs… in a way that only Don Callis can.
Marshall Von Erich recently took to Twitter to share his appreciation for what his father and uncle had been able to contribute to the world of professional wrestling. Following that, Callis replied to the tweet. It seemed like he was out of character as he was appreciating the wrestling legends. But in the end he showed his true colors but stating that the Von Erichs family was second best to the Don Callis Family.
“I was always a huge fan of the von Erichs. Give them their due: 2nd greatest wrestling family, surpassed only by The Don Callis Family,” Don Callis tweeted.
This past weekend, the biography of the Von Erich family, The Iron Claw, hosted its world premiere. The lead role, Kevin Von Erich, is played by Zac Efron.
The Hollywood star also recently got the opportunity to watch The Iron Claw with Kevin Von Erich. In an interview with Variety, Zac Efron mentioned that Kevin Von Erich’s review was the most important one.
“I was very curious about what he thought of the movie,” he shared. “We went out to the patio, sat forehead to forehead, and talked about life for an hour and a half. And he told me that he did enjoy the movie. I can’t really put into words how that feels. It’s far and away the most important review to me on so many levels. It meant the world, and everything just came full circle.”
