NJPW Announces Lineups For NJPW World Tag League 2023

The field is set for NJPW World Tag League 2023.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling officially announced the lineups for NJPW World Tag League. The tournament will begin on November 20, and it will conclude on December 10. The winners will earn a shot at the IWGP Tag Team Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18.

The lineup is as follows:

A Block

  • Shota Umino &Ren Narita (debut entry)
  • CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano) 4th entry, 1st in three years 
  • United Empire (Great-O-Khan & HENARE) 3rd entry, 3rd consecutive
  • TMDK (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls) 2nd entry, 2nd consecutive
  • BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd) 2nd entry, 2nd consecutive
  • HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi) 4th entry, 4th consecutive
  • Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa (debut entry)
  • Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) (debut entry)

B Block

  • Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto)- IWGP Tag Team Champions, 2021, 2022 WTL winners. 5th entry, 4th consecutive
  • Hikuleo &El Phantasmo – (debut entry). STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions
  •  Yuji Nagata &Minoru Suzuki (debut entry)
  • Just 5 Guys (Taichi &Yuya Uemura)debut entry

Bishamon won NJPW World Tag League 2022 and went on to beat FTR to win the IWGP World Tag Team Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. The duo also won the tournament in 2021.
