Pro wrestling veteran Shane Taylor recently claimed that he wants to be the one to bring a championship to the city of Cleveland.
Taylor entered the world of professional wrestling back in 2014. He began his career in Ring of Honor and has been part of the promotion ever since. He has also made appearances on IMPACT Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling, and other promotions in the Independent Circuit. He has held multiple tag team and singles championships. Shane Taylor has also captured the ROH World Television title once in his career.
He made his first appearance on AEW pay-per-view a couple of weeks ago. He showed up to wrestle Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship. Although he lost the match, it was a historic moment in his career.
This past Saturday night, the Cleveland-born wrestler competed on both Ring of Honor and AEW television. He cherished the moment as his family got to see him wrestle live in person. He took to Twitter to celebrate this special moment. He also vowed to bring home a world championship to his hometown.
“Last night is a night NOBODY can ever take away from me. My family got to watch me perform for @aew & @ringofhonor in our city’s PREMIERE venue, and make history of my own!! I’m going to bring a championship to my city like @KingJames!!! Cleveland!!! This is for you!!!” Shane Taylor tweeted.
The former ROH World Television Champion had previously mentioned that one of his dream opponents was Samoa Joe. His dream came true, so it is safe to assume that he will achieve his goal of winning a world title as well.
