AEW Collision‘s viewership dropped on September 2.
According to Wrestlenomics, 345,000 viewers tuned in on Saturday. This number is down 41% from last week’s episode when 552,000 viewers watched the show.
Collision also drew a 0.11 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. This also dropped from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.16 rating.
This week’s episode of AEW Collision went head-to-head with WWE’s premium live event Payback and the return of college football. It’s likely Collision’s numbers won’t improve through the rest of 2023 as it faces the stiff competition of college football for the rest of the year.
What Happened On This Week’s AEW Collision?
This week’s show kicked off with a statement from All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan regarding the termination of CM Punk.
Elsewhere on the show, Bryan Danielson made his surprise return to the company as he would be announced as Ricky Starks’ opponent in the strap match at AEW All Out. A majority of Saturday night’s show was in hype mode for Sunday’s pay-per-view.
In the main event, Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White defeated Dax Harwood of FTR in singles action.
