All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the August 11 episode of AEW Rampage.
Tonight, Orange Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against Johnny TV. Plus, Saraya and Skye Blue will face off in a high-stakes match; the winner will quality for the AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW All In.
Additionally, Darby Allin will continue his feud with the Mogul Embassy when he faces Brian Cage.
The results are as follows:
Match 1: Darby Allin defeats Brian Cage via pinfall
In the opening match of the night, Allin walked out with a big win. In a back-and-forth affair to start, Cage nearly came away with a win after Prince Nana interfered, allowing Cage to send Allin to the ground with a big hit. Allin was able to kick out, though, and as Cage went for an F5-type move, Darby was able to get out of it and counter into a quick roll up for the pin and win.
After the match, Luchasaurus came down to the ring and quickly attacked Allin, as Christian could be seen backstage watching with the TNT Championship in his possession.
Match 2: Orange Cassidy defeats Johnny TV via pinfall
In an AEW International Championship match, Cassidy continued his reign with a stellar victory. After the entire QTV crew attempted to interfere in this one early on, the referee promptly ejected them all. This didn’t stop Johnny TV from getting some help, though, as Wheeler Yuta came down to ringside and distracted Cassidy until the referee also ejected him from ringside.
With no more distractions available, Cassidy was able to hit a big diving DDT on Johnny TV, before landing the Orange Punch on his opponent, followed by a Beach Break for the win. Following the match, Yuta came back down to the ring to confront Cassidy, before Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli also appeared and stared down the champion. Yuta said that he wanted Cassidy’s belt, and challenged him to a match for it next week on AEW Dynamite.
Match 3: Aussie Open defeats The Outrunners via pinfall
The reigning ROH World Tag Team Champions completely outmatched their opponents, winning almost instantly. After the match, they then accepted the challenge of MJF and Adam Cole for a shot at their titles. That match will take place on the AEW All In pre-show.
Match 4: Saraya defeats Skye Blue via pinfall
In a stellar close to the night, Saraya earned herself a spot in the 4-way AEW Women’s Championship match at AEW All In. It was a back-and-forth affair from the start, but Skye Blue took herself out of the match a bit early to attack The Outcasts, who were at ringside. This didn’t go well with Blue, who got ambushed a bit and then thrown back into the ring by Toni Storm.
With the help from The Outcasts, Saray was able to gain some momentum, even taking a jumping knee strike from Blue and shaking it off. She then hit a big kick on Blue for a near fall, but Blue hit the Code Blue on Saraya that looked to end things. Unfortunately for her, The Outcasts got involved once again, jumping on the apron and spraying Blue with spray paint to distract her. With the referee unable to see due to the distractions, Saraya hit her finisher for the pin and win.
After the match ended, All Elite Wrestling announced that Saraya was All In, and the superstar said she plans on walking out of Wembley Stadium with the title around her waist at AEW All In.
