Next week’s episode of AEW Collision is set to be a big one, and will feature an AEW Tag Team Championships match, as well as CM Punk defending his “real” AEW World Championship.
As confirmed during tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, CM Punk still believes that he’s the “real” AEW World Champion. During a segment tonight, Punk revealed what was in the red bag he was always carrying around, unveiling a version of the AEW World Championship with a black “X” spray painted over it.
Punk said that he is still the real champion, and has not been beaten in a match for the belt yet. Ricky Starks interrupted the segment, saying that he’s actually beaten Punk twice since his return, and demanded a title match, which will happen on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the night, FTR will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships that they just retained against MJF & Adam Cole. Kris Statlander will always defend her AEW TBS Championship against Mercedes Martinez, making for a big night for the show.
