AEW CEO Tony Khan teases that he’s trying to get Chris Hero back in the ring.
Hero has been working with AEW in a backstage capacity on a trial basis in a recent weeks. He confirmed that he did “a little coaching” at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
In a tweet, a fan suggested that Khan should get Hero “in that cage,” and the AEW CEO responded by stating that he was working on it.
Khan also stated that he can’t say whether he’ll get Hero to wrestle, but he’ll keep chipping away at the veteran on a weekly basis. He expressed his hope that Hero will “crack” someday and stated that he loved working with him regardless.
Hero has not wrestled since he was released by WWE in 2020, but he recently stated that he is not retired. Check out his comments here.
