Clark Connors has signed a new deal with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Connors and NJPW confirmed the news in a post on Instagram, with the company highlighting his match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 and noting that that expect to see more from him.
Per Fightful Select, Connors signed a one-year deal with the company.
Connors came up through the NJPW LA Dojo system. He often competes on NJPW’s shows in the United States, and he was a featured member of the NJPW STRONG roster. Connors had a breakout match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where he competed against Miro, Malakai Black, and PAC in a bout that crowned the first AEW All-Atlantic Champion.
He recently wrestled at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United, where he was part of the Scramble Match for the X-Division Scramble Match. Connors also challenged Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship on the March 16 episode of ROH TV.
At NJPW Capital Collision on April 15, Connors will join forces with Lio Rush, Rocky Romero, Chuck Taylor, and The DKC to face Mike Bailey, KUSHIDA, Kevin Knight, Volador Jr., and Gabriel Kidd. Check out the full card here.
