AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 4/5, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite viewership saw an increase on April 5, which featured the surprise debut of Jay White.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 877,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.30 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was up from last week’s episode when 833,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.28 rating in the same demographic.

Despite the increase in viewership, Dynamite landed in the sixth place spot in the demographic among cable originals overall Wednesday night. On cable, AEW Dynamite was mainly defeated by ESPN’s coverage of NBA basketball and Vanderpump Rules on Bravo, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with a match between Ricky Starks and Juice Robinson which never got underway due to the surprise debut of Jay White. The main event of the show saw FTR, defeat The Gunns to become two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.
