AEW is headed to London this summer.
During the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan and Nigel McGuinness announced that AEW will present “All In London at Wembley Stadium” on Sunday, August 27, as the company makes their awaited United Kingdom debut.
Adam Cole joined in and revealed that the historic event will emanate from Wembley Stadium as the stadium and Warner Bros. Discovery both are celebrating 100 years. It will also mark the first pro wrestling event at the stadium in more than 30 years.
All In London will serve as a homecoming for several AEW stars including Jamie Hayter, Saraya, PAC, Nigel McGuinness, Anthony Ogogo, and others. The show will be produced in conjunction with Live Nation Entertainment. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, May 5, at 9 a.m. BST.
Khan commented on the news in a press release and made it clear that the company wanted to make their UK debut epic.
“The UK is one of the most important markets in professional wrestling, and AEW is coming in hot as the number one wrestling company in the UK on television,” said Khan. “We want our debut in London to be epic in scale, and there’s no better venue than Wembley Stadium to deliver what I know will be one of the greatest events in AEW’s history. This April also marks 100 years of Warner Bros. and 100 years of Wembley Stadium – it’s a fitting time to come together for ‘AEW: All In London at Wembley Stadium.’”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
