WWE NXT viewership dropped on April 4.
According to Wrestlenomics, 555,000 viewers watched this week’s show; this number is down from last week when 620,000 viewers tuned in. The demo rating in the 18-to-49 demographic also dipped, as this week’s show scored a 0.13 rating. NXT drew a 0.16 rating in the same demographic last week.
NXT ranked #42 in the demographic among cable originals, as cable news coverage of WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump’s arrest dominated TV on Tuesday. Including broadcast primetime, NXT ranked #58.
This week’s show kicked off new NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell, who was confronted by Zoey Stark to set up a match later on in the evening. In the closing segment, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams celebrated Hayes’ NXT Championship win from Stand & Deliver. Hayes asked Bron Breakker out to show him respect, and Breakker turned heel and attacked them to end the show.
