Seth Rollins discusses his win over Logan Paul and notes that he “might agree” that WWE would be stupid not to re-sign him.
Rollins and Paul had been feuding since Paul eliminated Rollins from the WWE Royal Rumble match. The former WWE Universal Champion defeated Paul at the first night of WrestleMania 39. Ahead of the show, Paul revealed that his WWE contract was up after the show, but he expressed his confidence that the company would re-sign him. He even claimed that the company would be stupid not to.
In a WWE exclusive interview with Kayla Braxton, Rollins discussed his win over Paul and admitted that he might agree with the notion that WWE would be “stupid” not to re-sign “The Maverick.”
“I’m going to be honest with you,” Rollins said. “The kid proved something to me tonight. You’re getting an exclusive, you’re the first person to ask about it. I don’t always agree with everything that he does, but he’s got something. He took it to me, surprised me on more than one occasion, and he has a hell of a right hand. I know he’s been talking about his contract being up with WWE. He said they would be stupid if they didn’t re-sign him. It pains me to say, I might agree a little bit. When you go to battle with somebody like that, things change. Your perspective changes a little bit. I’m never going to like the guy, we’re never going to go hang out at Dave & Busters or anything, but he can go.” (Transcription credit of Fightful)
Following Paul’s loss, he stated that he didn’t have a job anymore, as his contract was up.
