Logan Paul comments on his loss at WWE WrestleMania 39 and notes that he does not have a job, as his contract is up.
Paul previously noted that his deal expired following WrestleMania 39 on April 1, and though he expressed his confidence that the company would re-sign him, he was apparently a free agent at the end of the night.
In a WrestleMania 39 Exclusive, Paul spoke with Cathy Kelley following his loss. He pulled out his phone and asked Kelley to read a text message WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H sent him. Kelley noted that Triple H wrote that Paul’s match was awesome, and “The Maverick” described how he was initially dejected, but he ultimately felt good in the aftermath of the bout.
“Let’s go. I don’t even care if I lost. At one point, I thought this was the worst birthday ever, you know. It was a moment in time where I ended my rookie year on an embarrassing loss to Seth Rollins in front of 80,000 people at SoFi Stadium, I accidentally frog splashed my business partner KSI through a table, and I currently have no job because my contract ended. So it’s not ideal. But I’m feeling actually pretty good right now.
When Kelley asked Paul to describe where he would go following the defeat and his certain contract status, he stated that he was going to Dave & Buster’s, and he hoped to win a drone.
