Dax Harwood misses wrestling, and he’d like to come back before April, if that’s what AEW President Tony Khan wants.
In January, Harwood announced that he and his tag team partner, Cash Wheeler, had been granted a few months off of AEW TV so they could heal their bodies and think about the future. The duo’s AEW contracts are set to expire in April.
On February 8, Harwood tweeted, “I kinda miss wrestling.” The timing of the tweet sparked some buzz, as he posted the message roughly an hour and a half before AEW Dynamite was set to start on Wednesday.
Damn y’all. I kinda miss wrestling.

Speaking on the newest episode of FTR with Dax Harwood, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion commented on the tweet and noted that the timing was completely a coincidence, as he happened to be watching wrestling because he had a chance to do so. He then emphasized that he really misses wrestling. Harwood brought up FTR’s potential return by noting that he’d love to come back before April, if that’s what Khan wants. If not, he stated that he would do whatever Khan says because it’s his company.
“I wish I would have tweeted that two days before or something,” Harwood said. “There was no correlation there, none at all. I just happened to be watching wrestling, drinking coffee, and the two times in the day when I have endorphins completely running through my body, it’s my first cup of coffee, especially if I’m watching wrestling, and my first drink of tequila. That’s all it was, was endorphins and really, I really do miss wrestling.
“But I still have to take things easy, let my body rest, let my mind rest, and recuperate and just be ready for, if we come back before April, I would absolutely love that, if Tony is on board with that and if that’s what he wants, I would love to. If that’s not what he wants, it’s his company, and I will do whatever he says because I trust him, and he’s the boss.”
Harwood recently stated that whatever FTR does in April will be the biggest decision of their careers. Click here to see what he had to say.
Khan previously stated that he would love to have FTR back. Check out his comments here.
