Kayden Carter and Katana Chance will defend the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day.
On the January 24 episode of NXT, the champions were scheduled to defend the titles against Alba Fyre, who had challenged them to a match by herself. Sol Ruca inserted herself into the match, but the duo failed to dethrone Chance and Carter. After the match, Fallon Henley and Kiana James confirmed that they will challenge for the gold at the premium live event on February 4.
Earlier in the show, Henley and James, despite their previous feud, joined forces and defeated Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile in a tag team match. Brooks Jensen then told the duo he got them a title shot.

While Henley was initially hesitant, she eventually agreed to the match.
Carter and Chance previously won the gold on the August 2 episode of NXT.
