MJF Could ‘Give A Sh*t About The Older Guys’, I Wish They’d Rot In Hell And Die

MJF addresses his enemies.

The self-proclaimed “generational talent” has become one of AEW‘s top stars. He’s been with the company from the start, and “The Salt of the Earth” has gradually climbed the ladder with the company. He finally won the AEW World Championship by defeating Jon Moxley. Still, he continues to openly tease “the bidding war of 2024”, as his AEW contract will be up, leaving him free to consider his options. His approach has often garnered criticism, particularly from the previous generation of wrestlers.

Speaking with Scott Felstead of Muscle & Fitness, MJF discussed his critics and made it clear that he doesn’t care about the older guys. He stated that it’s the new generation’s time, and if anyone disagrees, he’ll “put them out of their misery” himself.

“I could give a s**t about the older guys,” MJF said. “I wish they would all rot in hell and die already. It’s our time. Screw them, and screw the fans that like them still. I’ve had a phrase and a saying since I entered this business: talent over tenure. I believe in it whole heartedly, and if these old dogs don’t want to believe I’ll put them out of their misery myself. Just come for the champ, and I’ll do it.”

Outside of AEW, MJF continues to cross over into other worlds; he landed a role in the Iron Claw movie, and he has expressed his interest in getting into acting beyond that. He also appeared at UFC 282, as he has traded verbal barbs with UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett. To the AEW World Champion, it’s all part of being a superstar that AEW can showboat.

“We finally have a superstar again, that we can showboat,” MJF said. “I think that I am easily the type of athlete who should be interviewed by Muscle & Fitness, as I am, and I am also being interviewed by Forbes, and ESPN, and all these news and media outlets. I got all the stroke, and I am the one that everybody is talking about in professional wrestling.”

MJF recently retained his title against Ricky Starks on AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
