Kurt Angle is proud of his “son” Jason Jordan.
In 2017, Jordan was revealed as the WWE Hall of Famer’s “son” on the July 17 episode of WWE RAW. Their relationship was a part of a featured storyline on WWE RAW, but the duo eventually went separate ways, as Jordan retired from in-ring competition due to an injury he suffered in 2018 and Angle laced up his boots for the last time at WrestleMania 35 the following year.
Since Jordan’s retirement, he has been working as a producer. Angle and Jordan reunited on the December 9 episode of WWE SmackDown, where Angle celebrated his birthday. In a memorable segment, Jordan gave his “dad” a birthday present in the form of a picture that had, “#1 Dad” written on it.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle recalled how he left the picture at the arena, and his wife, Giovanna, called up WWE in order to make sure that they got it back.
“Well, my son Jason Jordan, my son on TV, gave me a photo of him when he was seven years old wrestling,” Angle said. “It was on TV. He gave it to me on SmackDown. I wanted to keep it, and I actually forgot it at the arena, so my wife was going crazy, like, ‘You gotta get this thing.’ I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about it. It’s just a photo of Jason.’
“She’s like, ‘We have to track this down.’ So she calls the WWE, she tells them that they need to track it down. They go to the arena, go back to the arena. A producer in WWE actually did it, and they found the photo, and they sent it to us. They overnighted it to us.”
Angle then briefly commented on Jordan’s work as a producer and complimented him. He made it clear that he’s proud of his “son.”
“He helped produce the segment, and he came up with some of the ideas,” Angle said. “Jason’s a really good producer. He’s doing really well there. I’m very proud of my son.”
