Wheeler Yuta is confident that he’ll face Daniel Garcia again.
Yuta and Garcia have battled a number of times, as they have been linked together throughout 2022. At ROH Death Before Dishonor, Yuta beat Garcia to retain the ROH Pure Championship, but “Red Death” dethroned the champion on the September 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. The two stars clashed again at ROH Final Battle, and Yuta regained the gold.
Speaking at the ROH Final Battle post-show media scrum, Yuta discussed his victory and noted that while he and Garcia might go their separate ways for a bit, he knows that their rivalry misn’t over.
“It was really awesome to mix it up with Garcia again,” Yuta said. “Coming into our match [at Final Battle], we were actually 1-1-1, with one draw, so take the lead in the series is very exciting. Obviously I have the Pure Championship back. I think this will be the end of this chapter.
“We’ve been going at it for quite a while. I think we’ll probably go our separate ways for a little bit, but I know that, for as long as I’m a wrestler, I’ll be fighting Daniel Garcia. So I know that this is not the end. Maybe the end for now. I’ve got my belt back, I got what I wanted. But we’ll see where it goes. I’m sure that we’ll definitely compete again.”
