It’s a new day, yes it is.
On the December 6 episode of WWE NXT, Pretty Deadly, the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions, read their Christmas story. They made it clear that all they want for Christmas is to face a team that can match them in the ring. The duo must be on Santa’s nice list because they got their wish when SmackDown stars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day came to the ring. They pointed out that Pretty Deadly haven’t defeated them yet. With that in mind, they challenged the champions to put the titles on the line against them at NXT Deadline.
The confrontation escalated into a brawl, and the New Day stood tall after they smashed Pretty Deadly with some presents that were in the ring.

Alongside Big E, Woods and Kingston are 11-time tag team champions collectively.
WWE subsequently confirmed the match for NXT Deadline.
