Wardlow is embracing his role as a sexual being.
During a recent interview with Brandon Walker for Barstool Sports’ Rasslin’ podcast, Wardlow was asked about his recent comments where he said he’s OK with fans calling him “Wardaddy”. Wardlow spoke with Fightful’s Joel Pearl about having women thirst for him and he said it’s something he’s actually on board with.
Now, he explained to Walker how the subject was approached and that he worked hard to be considered a sex symbol in the first place.
Wardlow: So I am called ‘Wardaddy’. They asked my opinion on the nickname, and I said feel free to call me Wardaddy all you want because I am very open to the idea of being a sex symbol.
Walker: Do you think you’ve earned that?
Wardlow: [laughs] Yes. Do you see me? I’ve worked for it. But yeah, I’m a very sexual being and I embrace it.
Walker: Sex. It sounds awesome.
Wardlow: It IS awesome. You don’t know yet?
Walker then said he would not refer to him as Wardaddy, nor would he refer to his penis as the Warhammer… but Wardlow said that’s actually a great t-shirt idea.
“He does sometimes wear a shirt. [laughs] No, I’m saying I need the Warhammer shirt on ShopAEW like now,” Wardlow stated.
Walker asked if he was serious and Wardlow said if they have “Scissor Me” shirts, they should be OK with this idea for a Warhammer shirt.
Speaking of scissoring, Wardlow recently said that he is grateful that The Acclaimed is helping make wrestling cool again and doesn’t believe scissoring will ever stop.
“So I feel like the best things happen organically. So like the scissoring thing. Me with the powerbomb symphony, I kind of orchestrate the crowd while they chant ‘one more time,’ you know, and they wave their hands around. So stuff like that. The fact that it’s happening with like pro athletes, I feel like we haven’t seen that in a really long time. I don’t think anybody in pro wrestling has had that type of connection, where like, somebody scores a touchdown and does you know John Cena’s whatever — yeah to see somebody doing the scissoring, I was so excited to see that and hopefully, we see much more.”
