WWE will hold a talent search in Africa.
On November 2, the company announced that Showmax is the new home of WWE Network content in sub-Saharan Africa.
During the third quarter earnings call, WWE co-CEO Nick Khan discussed the deal and announced that the company will hold a talent search in Africa, and it will be featured in some content as part of the aforementioned deal.
“This deal also involves the introduction of new, localized WWE content, starting with content creation around a WWE talent search in Africa,” Khan said. “Beginning next week, we will have members of the WWE talent recruiting team traveling to Nigeria to start the search.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
