In a stunning surprise tonight on WWE SmackDown, Tenille Dashwood returned to the world of WWE, challenging Ronda Rousey for her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in the process.
Dashwood — now wrestling as Emma — appeared in a segment that saw Rousey issuing an open challenge to anyone to come out and challenge her for the belt. Emma shocked the crowd when she appeared, and quickly got into the ring and put on a show against Rousey. The two brawled for a bit before Rousey ultimately ended up retaining her title after raking Emma’s eyes and then locking in an armbar for the win.
For Dashwood/Emma, this is her first WWE appearance and match since appearing on WWE RAW on October 23, 2017, in a match that saw her face off against Asuka. Since then, she’s worked for both Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling, the latter of which she left in July 2022.
