Report: Kenny Omega And The Young Bucks Backstage At 10/26 AEW Dynamite

The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) are seemingly getting closer to a return. At the very least, they were reportedly backstage at the latest AEW Dynamitetaping.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Omega and the Young Bucks were backstage at the October 26 taping of AEW Dynamite.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select also reported the news and noted that Don Callis was backstage as well. He noted that there has been talk of Omega and the Bucks returning, at least to work in a backstage capacity.  On the October 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, a cryptic vignette featuring The Elite aired on the show, fueling speculation that they’re on their way back.

Omega and the Jackson brothers had been absent since the aftermath of the AEW All Out pay-per-view. At the post-show media scrum, AEW World Champion CM Punk took shots at the company’s EVPs, leading to a reported altercation between the two sides. The confrontation turned into what has been called a “melee” where Ace Steel allegedly bit Omega and threw a chair that hit Matt in the face. Everyone involved was subsequently suspended, and Punk got surgery for an injury he suffered during the main event match against Jon Moxley.

The brawl was subsequently the subject of a third-party investigation. Some of the involved parties, such as Brandon Cutler, had already returned prior to Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. AEW and Punk are reportedly discussing a contract buyout.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
