Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide‘s collaboration with Marvel is expanding
A trailer for the upcoming Marvel Lucha Libre show, titled “El Origen De La Mascara”, aired during the pre-show of TripleMania XXX: CDMX on October 15. The program is coming to Disney Plus, and it will premiere on December 21, 2022. This will be the show from a first wrestling promotion that will air on Disney Plus. As of this writing, it’s unclear whether the program will air exclusively in Mexico or worldwide.
AAA just announced a live action Marvel Lucha Libre series coming to Disney+. Vibe seems similar to Lucha Underground. Unclear if it’s just for Mexico or the US, too. Either way, looks awesome. #TriplemaniaXXX

AAA and Marvel have been working together since 2020. The “Marvel Lucha Libre Edition” has allowed AAA to featured in-ring performers with characters that are inspired by Marvel’s iconic heroes and villains. Some examples include El Aracno (Spider-Man), and El Leyenda Americana (Captain America), El Terror Purpura (Thanos) and El Venenoide (Venom).
