Rush is All Elite.
Tony Khan confirmed Rush has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling, posting the following statement (along with the customary “All Elite” graphic):
“It’s official: @rushtoroblanco is All Elite,” Khan wrote on Twitter. “What a week for Rush! Yesterday was his birthday, today he’s All Elite, and it’s Rush vs @SilverNumber1 TONIGHT on Friday Night #AEWRampage! Don’t miss Friday Night #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama @ 10pm ET/9pm CT TONIGHT!”
Rush made his AEW in-ring debut on June 29 as one of the competitors in the Royal Rampage match in Detroit. Since then, he has competed in ten more AEW matches, including the Casino Ladder match at AEW All Out and last week’s Grand Slam Golden Ticket Battle Royal.
Rush previously said that his AEW agreement was on a per-date basis but the two sides were in negotiations for a long-term deal.
During an interview with Lucha Libre Online’s Michael Morales Torres, RUSH discussed his goals in AEW and said he wants to win all of the gold he can.
“I see a lot of tremendous competition on AEW,” said RUSH. “I know we can get excellent matches. Andrade and I still think the same way. We want everything. We want the Tag Team Titles. There’s a World Title and the TNT Title. It doesn’t matter! We need to have them. Us Mexicans, we were born to be champions. We already were the faces of other companies. This won’t be the exception. We want everything! We want all the titles, tag team and singles. If they present another one, why not the trios titles”.
