Several familiar faces appeared on the August 30 episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
Butch, once known as former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne, made an appearance on NXT 2.o via video chat to motivate Tyler Bate ahead of his NXT Championship unification match against Bron Breakker at NXT Worlds Collide. Butch told Bate, “You know better than anyone that that title represents hard work. Go out there and unify those titles. Do it for the memories. Do it for the memories of NXT UK. Do it for the future of NXT Europe. And do it for British Strong Style.”

Later in the show, Intercontinental Champion Gunther, confronted Bate and delivered a similar message. Gunther, the longest-reigning NXT UK Champion, reminded Bate about the legacy that’s at stake with the championship.
"I'm here to remind you that this title has a legacy."

Former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler also made an appearance to send a message to current NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Their conversation was rather passive aggressive, however Baszler emphasized that Rose needs to unify for the titles for the brand and for herself. The Queen of Spades concluded, “If you don’t win on Sunday, everything you’ve said for the past year is garbage.”

Lastly, Ciampa confronted NXT Champion Bron Breakker to stress how important it is for him to beat Tyler Bate this Sunday. After all, Ciampa was the man Breakker beat to capture his first NXT Championship earlier this year. The former NXT Champion said, “It’s your world now. And at Worlds Collide, you have the chance to make history.”
