Trish Stratus would like to see her heel character return.
Stratus, a WWE Hall of Famer, last wrestled in 2019. But she hosted two WWE live events over the weekend, and she will appear on the August 22 edition of WWE RAW, which will be held in Toronto.
During an interview with Ring The Belle, Stratus teased that her heel persona should make a return, as she said, “I know who should return. Heel Trish.”
Looking back on her heel character, Stratus described how some of her most harsh lines, like telling Lita “Open your heart, just like you opened your legs”, came from a genuine place because she understood her character.
“She’s fun. I think those lines at resonate, usually they come from a true place. Not that I would say that, but it’s like I knew a layer of my character and how she was, so these things just came naturally to me because that’s how she was, that Trish at the time.
When the interviewer, DS Shin, noted it seems like the veteran still has an “itch” regarding her wrestling career, she replied, “I mean sometimes I need to scratch it, I don’t know.”
Shin asked her about her previous teases of a return, including posing for a picture with AEW star Britt Baker, Stratus brought up how she had fun when she got physical with Becky Lynch atba live event earlier this year.
“Oh you know, Becky Lynch and I kinda, we had a little buzz going there before our live event in Toronto and I got to smack the taste out of her mouth, that was fun,” Stratus said. “She’s a brat, though.”
