Body cam footage from Jake Atlas‘ recent arrest has been released online.
TMZ obtained body cam footage from Jake Atlas’ recent arrest in Florida. During the video, police can be seen approaching Atlas (Kenny Sanchez) at his apartment to question him about the incident that saw him arrested on May 23.
According to the initial police report, officers responded to a domestic violence call at the home of Atlas and his partner. Atlas was accused of attacking his partner after they’d been out drinking at another location, and was taken into custody after police arrived. In the report, Atlas’ partner claimed Atlas followed him after a heated verbal argument and ultimately scratched him and tore his tank top before they were separated.
Atlas was released from jail the same day he was arrested and signed a no-contact order, but he later had the charges dropped. According to a statement from prosecutors, the case was deemed “not suitable for prosecution.” Atlas later issued an apology for his role in the incident and also dismissed claims that he was involved in an abusive relationship, and he has since deleted his social media accounts.
Atlas has not wrestled since suffering a torn ACL in January. Atlas last wrestled Adam Cole on the January 7 episode of AEW Rampage and ended up having surgery to repair the injury in February. He is still recovering from surgery and is not expected to return to All Elite Wrestling, where he’d been working on a per-appearance deal.
