Ari Daivari is becoming a prominent player in All Elite Wrestling, and he’s reportedly set to stay there.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Daivari has signed a full-time deal with AEW. He first competed for AEW after his WWE release last June, and he spent a few months on the open market. He returned to WWE as a producer, but the company cut back on its group of producers. Daivari has also leaned into this side of the business with AEW as he produced the ThunderStorm vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Jamie Hayter match on AEW Dynamite.
Recently, he has been featured as the leader of the TrustBusters on AEW programming, and he also appeared at ROH Supercard of Honor. The group made its way to AEW TV on the August 12 edition of Rampage, where Daivari faced Orange Cassidy in the main event.
Sapp also reported that ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni is still on his previous contract with ROH. Since Tony Khan acquired the company, he has made it clear that he wants to keep working with ROH as long as he can. Riccaboni has also been doing commentary at NJPW STRONG events, and he has bookings through the end of 2022.
Additionally, Sapp wrote that he asked about the status of Alex Zayne, who wrestled at both ROH Supercard of Honor and Death Before Dishonor. He reportedly isn’t under contract with ROH or AEW, so he is currently a free agent.
