The August 19 episode of AEW Rampage will feature two title matches.
First, HOOK will defend the FTW Championship. On the August 12 episode of AEW Rampage, reality TV star Zack Clayton confronted him and challenged the champion to a match. He declared that HOOK is a wannabe tough guy and expressed that he wants to take the title back to New Jersey, which he called God’s country. The champion accepted, and the bout was confirmed for next week.

Plus, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) will challenge Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. On Friday night, the duo noted that they’re tired of being slept on, but now it’s time for them to wake people up. Meanwhile, Lee recalled how he overpowered both Quen and Kassidy in his AEW debut, and he made it clear that the numbers clearly favor the champions in this matchup.

Finally, the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament will continue. Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends will continue their rivalry with The TrustBusters (Ari Daivari, Parker Boudreaux, and Slim J) when they collide in a first-round match. Cassidy defeated Daivari in a singles match on the August 12 episode of AEW Rampage, but Boudreaux left “Freshly Squeezed” lying with the help of Sonny Kiss, who kicked the fan-favorite star below the belt.
The card is as follows:
- AEW World Tag Team Championship: Swerve in our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) (c) vs. Private Party
- FTW Championship: HOOK (c) vs. Zack Clayton
- AEW World Trios Championship Tournament Quarterfinal: The TrustBusters (Ari Daivari, Parker Boudreaux, and Slim J) vs. Best Friends and Orange Cassidy vs.
WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on Friday.
