Taya Valkyrie will challenge for the NWA World Women’s Championship on the first night of NWA 74.
Valkyrie made her debut for the promotion at the “Alwayz Ready” event on June 11. A few weeks later, she earned the right to fight for a title shot; on the July 26 episode of NWA Powerrr, she faced KiLynn King in a #1 Contender’s Match. “La Wera Loca” picked up the win in the competitive contest, and in a sign of clear sportsmanship, Valkyrie shook King’s hand.
The broadcast team then confirmed that Kamille will defend the title against Valkyrie at the show on August 27. The bout will be a Champion vs. Champion Match, as Valkyrie holds the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, among other titles.

Kamille has held the title for over 400 days; she defeated Serena Deeb to win the gold at NWA When Our Shadows Fall on June 6, 2021.
