The Forbidden Door opened on the May 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On Wednesday, FTR defended the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships against Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero). The challengers previously enjoyed a lot of success in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and they united to take a shot at FTR’s titles. After several minutes of hard-fought action, NJPW’s Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan ran to the ring.

The two brawlers laid everyone out, but they particularly focused their assault on FTR. The United Empire duo put Dax Harwood through a table and proceeded to pose with the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

Cobb previously appeared in AEW in 2020, when he briefly aligned with The Inner Circle during Chris Jericho’s feud with Jon Moxley. Great-O-Khan and Cobb have held the IWGP Tag Team Championship, and it’s clear that they want the ROH titles now.
