The Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin is on the shelf for only the second time in his long-tenured in-ring career. The former Intercontinental Champion and took to social media to announce that he’s had a “little setback,” something that doesn’t typically happen to him.
“For only the second time In my career An injury has put me on the shelf,” Shelton Tweeted. “I’ll be back soon. In the meantime I will be putting in the work to come back better than I was before my little setback. See you guys soon!”

Several colleagues such as Mia Yim, Keith Lee, Bayley and Natayla all sent him well wishes. Shelton has been in WWE television purgatory as the star last notably worked at WWE Crown Jewel in October. Since he returned to WWE for his second run, Shelton really found his stride as a member of the Hurt Business and many fans were “hurt” when they put that business out of business.
