Time might not heal all wounds, but in Scott Steiner‘s case, it helped him move on and let go of the negative feelings he had toward WWE.
At one point in the past, Steiner made it clear that he didn’t want to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and he was evidently not welcome at WWE events. Still, to many fans’ surprise, Steiner took his place in the hallowed hall this year alongside his brother, Rick. The duo is widely considered to be one of the best tag teams of all time, and they were finally recognized for their impressive careers on April 1.
With the opportunity to get inducted along with his brother, Rick, as well as the fact that his nephew, Bron Breakker, is the reigning NXT Champion, Scott Steiner opted to release the “bad feelings” he had been holding onto, as he told The Detroit News.
“You’ve gotta let it go, you can’t harbor all the bad feelings. You’ve gotta grow up,” Scott said.
The WWE Hall of Fame Induction isn’t Steiner’s first; he has been honored by both the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame as a tag team and the Memphis Wrestling Hall of Fame as a singles performer. Ultimately, “Big Poppa Pump” wants his legacy to be the way he stood out and mixed it up throughout his career.
“It’s great to be remembered for being different,” said Scott.
