WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner made an appearance on the April 5 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, but it wasn’t to support his son.
After the conclusion of the main event, when Bron Breakker retained the NXT Championship against Gunther, the video screen showed Steiner, who told his son, Bron, that he was proud of him. But the camera panned back to reveal that he was tied up and trapped in a cage. Joe Gacy and Harland were guarding the cage, and Gacy teased that he wants to teach an old dog new tricks. Harland hit the bars of the cage before the camera faded out to close the show.

Earlier in the episode, Gacy cut two promos backstage. First, he described how family can be the beacon of light in the world, and losing family members can cause self-destrution. Then, Gacy noted that families help us control chaos, and without them, chaos is overwhelming.
