Eva Marie and Vladimir Kozlov are set to be featured alongside several UFC fighters in an upcoming thriller film, called “Phoenix.”
As first reported by Deadline, the movie will center around Eva Marie’s character, Fiona “Phoenix” Grant, a U.S. Army veteran Sergeant who is teaching hand-to-hand combat skills in Afghanistan when she receives word that her father, Everett Grant, played by Randy Couture, a prominent security specialist, has been killed in Florida. While the police report rules the death of suicide, Eva Marie’s character does not believe it and soon suspects that a drug kingpin, played by Vladimir Kozlov is involved in the death.
The movie is being produced by Tadross Media Group, Bulldog Brothers Entertainment, and director Daniel Zirilli. It has already entered production in Miami.
Eva Marie was released by WWE in late 2021. Vladimir Kozlov has been away from WWE for over a decade, during his time there, he was one of the last people to pin the Undertaker on free television, and he captured the WWE Tag Team Championship several times with Santino Marella.
