Konnan is reportedly recovering from heart surgery.
Per Alfonso Lizarraga of The Gladiatores, the veteran is seemingly in stable condition after he had heart surgery as a result of COVID-19’s effects on the body. Konnan was previously hospitalized for COVID-19 and kidney issues in February 2021.
Hugo Savinovich also confirmed the news in a video for Lucha Libre Online and noted that he might be allowed to leave the hospital today, though this outcome hasn’t been confirmed. Savinovich explained that Konnan allowed him to share the information, and he’s expected to discuss it himself soon. Konnan is a respected veteran of the business, and he has recently been working with Major League Wrestling as a member of 5150, among other responsibilities.
