Legendary wrestling star Konnan has reportedly been hospitalized.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Konnan is suffering from a kidney issue that’s “pretty serious.” It’s important to note that the 57-year-old Konnan had a kidney transplant in 2007.
Konnan has starred for AAA, CMLL, MLW, and IMPACT Wrestling, among other promotions. His contributions in the Mexican wrestling scene can’t be overstated. He has been a liaison for AAA, and he previously served as a booker. Konnan also co-hosts the “Keeping it 100 with Konnan” podcast with Glenn Gilberti.

Update: Lucha Libre AAA broadcaster Hugo Savinovich announced that Konnan has tested positive for COVID-19. Konnan personally confirmed the positive test to Lucha Libre Online. This report also states that Konnan hopes to be discharged from the hospital by the end of the week.
