Xavier Woods is going to be sidelined for a few weeks with a leg injury.
Xavier Woods appeared on the January 13 episode of G4’s Attack Of The Show and revealed that he’s currently out with a torn plantaris. More commonly known as “tennis leg,” Woods said that he was injured when he was jumping off of the bottom rope for a DDT and injured himself in the process.
“Yeah, so I was jumping in the ring to do a DDT. I spring off the bottom rope and grab the guy and then run his head into the ground hopefully shattering all the bones in his body so I can pin him and win the match, and make more money. So I did that part still but in the process — No, just jumping off the rope, so nothing like — not a shark attack, not a steel chair hit, not a machine gun, not a machete. I just jumped,” Woods said (via Fightful’s Robert DeFelice).
Woods said that he finished the match and estimated that he will be out for 4-6 weeks while he recovers.
“We finished everything and it’s all cool,” Woods said. “So, like, four to six weeks, and I’ll be good.”
Woods didn’t mention the match that he was injured in, but he has not competed since he and Kofi Kingston worked a Street Fight against The Usos on the January 7, 2022 episode of SmackDown.
