Liv Morgan will have another show at Becky Lynch‘s WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WWE Day 1.
Lynch and Morgan have been feuding for some time now, but things broke down during the December 13 episode of WWE RAW when “Big Time Becks” attacked her rival.
On Monday night, Lynch said that despite everyone thinking Morgan would walk out of their match last week as the new WWE RAW Women’s Champion, that didn’t happen. Lynch criticized fans for judging her when they hadn’t even stepped into the ring. She reminded everyone how she broke barriers for the women’s division, and the champion promised that she’d continue to do so.
Morgan made her way down into the ring next, saying that it’s obvious Lynch only won their match for the title by cheating. The fan-favorite star said that Lynch was the best at cheating. Morgan went on to say that she was disappointed after her loss,, but she snapped out of it by realizing that she can beat Lynch. She then challenged “Big Time Becks” to a rematch at WWE Day 1. Lynch laughed off the challenge and said Morgan wasn’t ready before the challenger suddenly stormed the ring and took Lynch down to the mat.
The two stars brawled, and outside of the ring, Lynch got the upper hand. She tossed Morgan into the steel steps, trapped her arm in them and stomped on the compromised limb. The champion walked away and said that since no one else wants to step up, she’s going to go home and spend time with her family. But she did accept Morgan’s challenge, so the match is set for WWE Day 1.

WWE later confimed the match; the official preview, courtesy of the company’s official website, is as follows:
Big Time Becks has proven she’s willing to do whatever it takes to maintain her spot on top of the WWE mountain, and Liv Morgan continues to find out the hard way.
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has remained one step ahead of the competition since returning at SummerSlam. The Man shocked the WWE Universe with her return win over Bianca Belair at The Biggest Event of the Summer and eluded The EST of WWE’s quest to regain the title. Now Lynch has frustrated Morgan every step of the way, as the rising Superstar appeared poised for her breakthrough title win on the first Raw of December. Lynch was able to cling to the title and leave Morgan hoping for one more opportunity.
Lynch and Morgan came to blows in their ensuing encounter the following week, as the challenger unleashed on the champion with a furious attack. Big Time Becks responded with an unmatched brutality and smashed Morgan’s arm between the steel steps.
Morgan has proved she’s unwilling to back down from her title dreams, but how much strength will she be able to muster in her battle?
Find out when it all goes down at WWE Day 1 on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, streaming live at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and on WWE Network everywhere else.
