We’ll be getting news on Kenny Omega’s nagging injuries very soon.
According to Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the former AEW Champion will be getting ‘various ailments and injuries’ checked out on Wednesday.
Per Meltzer, Omega was ‘dealing with various injuries for several months’ but was determined to complete the Hangman Page program according to plan with the storyline culminating with Page winning the AEW World Championship from Omega this past weekend at Full Gear.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Omega has wrestled 32 matches thus far in 2021 across several promotions including AEW, IMPACT Wrestling and AAA. The 32 matches he competed in this year nearly equals his 2020 output of 34 bouts.
Omega also revealed he’s been working with vertigo, telling Dr. Beau Hightower in a recent video that he’s had to learn how to work with the ailment since 2018.
