Kevin Owens is not ready to call it quits anytime soon.
Kevin Owens posted the following statement on Tuesday, one day after he came up short in his quest for a shot at the WWE Championship on Monday’s episode of RAW.
“I really don’t know what to say other than thank you all for your continued support and kind words. It really means a lot. The day I stop giving it my absolute all in that ring is the day I walk away. Not a second sooner,” Owens wrote on Twitter. “P.S. Rey Mysterio is the best.”
Kevin Owens competed in a number one contender’s ladder match against Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio, the latter of which Owens powerbombed through a table at the end of the match. The final moments saw Owens climb a ladder and got his hands on the contract, but Rollins back body dropped Owens over the top of the through another ladder laid across the others. Seth Rollins ultimately pulled down the contract to win a title shot, and now has a guaranteed shot against Big E. Full results from this week’s episode of RAW can be viewed at this link.
