Stand back, there’s an Arrow coming through.
Stephen Amell, the lead of the popular Arrow series and, more recently, one of the leading stars of Heels, has confirmed that he will be at Arthur Ashe Stadium for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 22.
Amell shared the news in a post in Instagram, and he even stated that he’ll be bringing his ring gear to the show.
“I’m gonna be at the AEW show at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows on September 22,” said Amell. ” I’ll bring my g**damned ring gear, okay?”

Amell has plenty of history with some of AEW’s top stars. He feuded with Cody Rhodes during his days as Stardust. The duo faced off in a tag team match at WWE SummerSlam 2015, where Amell teamed up with Neville, now known as AEW star PAC, to defeat Stardust and King Barrett.
Rhodes stepped into Amell’s world by making several appearances as Derek Sampson in Arrow; the character clashed with the titular hero because he dealt a drug that was fittingly named Stardust.
The two stars crossed paths again when Rhodes inducted Amell into The Bullet Club faction. They subsequently teamed up with stablemates Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks at ROH Survival of the Fittest 2017, where they defeated future AEW stars Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky; the trio also had Flip Gordon on their team.
The most recent chapter of Amell’s official in-ring career came at the famous All In event, where Daniels defeated Amell in a singles match.
It’s unclear whether Amell will be involved at Grand Sla, but at the very least, he’ll be in attendance at the historic show.
