WWE NXT is gaining a noteworthy star and losing another.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that following Kay Lee Ray‘s appearance at NXT TakeOver 36, she will be staying in the United States so she can completely join the primary NXT brand. Johnson also noted that the former NXT UK Women’s Champion has been training at the WWE Performance Center in recent weeks.
“Kay Lee Ray is on the WWE NXT roster full-time going forward and will be residing in the United States, PWInsider.com has confirmed,” wrote Johnson. “This is not meant to be a short run and then she’s back to NXT UK.”
Meanwhile, in a separate report, Johnson wrote that Karrion Kross is “100% done” with the black-and-gold brand following his loss to Samoa Joe at the pay-per-view on Sunday. Kross dropped the NXT Championship to Joe at ehe event, and he will be a full-time member of the WWE RAW roster going forward.
Consequently, Johnson reported that with Kross leaving the brand and Adam Cole’s future in doubt, Johnny Gargano is planned to be elevated as the show’s top heel. behind him, Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong are expected to be utilized as major heels on the black-and-gold brand.
