Mark Henry has his eye on a WNBA star to potentially make the jump into All Elite Wrestling.
Mark Henry, who himself made the jump from the Olympics to the world of professional wrestling, is hopeful that WNBA star Liz Cambage will show interest in joining AEW.
Speaking on the most recent episode of AEW Unrestricted, Henry explained that he believes the 6’7 basketball star can potentially build a legacy for herself in professional wrestling that will be comparable to that of Andre the Giant.
“There is one that is retiring from the WNBA this year after the Olympics,” Mark Henry said. “Liz Cambage. She is from Australia. 6 foot 7 basketball player, extremely athletic, but you can’t teach her size. There hasn’t been a woman be a giant in the business in a long, long, long time and I think that she can be a talent that we will talk about the way that we talked about Andre.”
Cambage withdrew from this year’s Olympics on July 16, noting on Twitter that she wanted to focus on her mental health.
