Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are currently shining bright, and Mark Henry believes they’re both the future of the business.
Belair main-evented WWE WrestleMania 37 in 2021, and she recently defeated Becky Lynch to win the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. Meanwhile, Cargill is the reigning TBS Women’s Champion, and she has an undefeated streak in singles competition that’s nearly 30 matches deep.
In an interview with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Henry, who discovered both women and helped them get tryouts with WWE, spoke highly of the two stars. He shared his belief that Cargill could be an all-time great.
“I think both will [be the future of professional wrestling],” said Henry. “I mean you have one that has main-evented WrestleMania already, the biggest wrestling spectacle in the world. And then you have another one that is almost 30 wins in a row and is on pace to be one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. So I think I’m doing pretty good when I pick. So it’s the same with the men. There are some guys that I have looked at, and I knew they would be special, and they are. And that is having a good eye for talent but also the work ethic. Like I have to see you work like you don’t have talent. That is what I require, and the people have listened.”
Sonya Deville recently revealed herself as the first challenger for Belair’s championship. As for Cargill, she will put her title and her streak on the line against Marina Shafir on the April 22 episode of AEW Rampage.
